Telas and Telas 2.0

Telas is a simple space shooter game that I created when I first started messing around with game development. It is a 2D game that involves the player shooting an endless amount of blocks that fall from the sky while trying to stay alive as long as possible. As far as games go.... it's a rough game. You can play it here if you're so inclined.

A bachelor's degree later, I decided it was time to learn how to make a game in 3D. Inspired by Telas, I decided to create Telas 2.0 as my first 3D game in Godot. In just one week, I created a simple game that challenges players to navigate an asteroid field, collect powerups, defeat bosses, and submit high scores. Despite my lack of experience with 3D modeling, I designed all the assets from basic shapes provided by Godot, giving the game a unique look and feel. Although it may not be the most visually stunning game out there, Telas 2.0 showcases my ability to quickly learn new tools and create fun, engaging experiences for players.

Telas 2.0

Telas 2.0 is playable here, or you can download it for both Linux or Windows here.

Telas 2.0 has the following features.

Of the features specified, the bosses were the hardest to implement. While on the whole the bosses end up behaving somewhat similarly, they are just different enough with their forms and attacks to seem distinct from each other.
